C'est quoi l'ECND

In France and in the world, a strong development of the NDT&E market is observed in many industrial sectors. In a context of increasing complexity of industrial products, companies have to meet increased requirements in terms of quality and risk management as well as environmental safety issues.

Aeronautical and energy sectors

Some companies (aeronautics, nuclear, oil ...) manufacture high value-added parts meeting very specific specifications with generally a COFREND certification obligation.

The parts are technical products, in which the "aim towards zero defect" must be guaranteed to answer important security and environmental stakes.

The negotiated contracts with the silent partner are long-term, representing several million euros.

Each defective part produce additional manufacturing costs and a potential non-delivery within the deadlines that may impact the economic profitability of the operation and that of the company.

NDT&Es must ensure the materials conformity, reliability and longevity. It is a guarantee of customer satisfaction, cost optimization and company reputation.

The agri-food sector

The agri-food industry produces, for its part, products in huge quantities, but with a value that is in cents. NDT&Es intervene to guarantee the non-presence of foreign bodies in the packaged product and to guarantee a good sealability of the packaging.

The challenge for NDT&Es is therefore to guarantee food security, fight against food waste and reduce waste associated with economic activities.

The land transport, building-civil engineering and plastics sectors

Between aeronautics and energy sectors and the agri-food sector, we find sectors such as land transport, building-civil engineering and plastics, whose parts manufactured will be on volumes and intermediate values, to meet safety standards.

The NDT&E makes it possible to guarantee the conformity of the manufactured parts according to security norms erected by the insurances to cover the ten-year warranty or P & C (Fire, Accidents and Miscellaneous Risks).

Today, the complexity of industrial products leads to a need for greater verification and an extension of the scope of application of NDT&E methods with the implementation of new NDT&E technologies. It becomes a strong economic issue for our territory which leads to the emergence of new skills needs.
